Just recieved a few copies of a German translation of an extract from my memoir of early 90s West Cork, THE DEAD FRIENDSs included in a literary guide book just published in Germany, and which has already received a rave review in the Süddeutsche Zeitung Newspaper, the german equivalent to The Guardian.
Oh, and I’m in a book with Liam O Flaherty, perhaps the west of Irelands greatest ever English language writer, and a hero of mine. Heaney is there too, and Frank O Connor…both of whom I also love. Great contemporaries too – Evelyn Conlon, Kevin Barry, Jan Carson, my good friend Rob Doyle…
Anyway if you spekens de deutsch I have one hardback to giveaway – shout me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Anthology edited by Paul McVeigh, and trs by Hans Oeser.
