Six week online (zoom) autumn evening course, kicking off Tuesday 21st of September. The course is a deep-dive into the history & variety of world poetry, with an emphasis on making poetry a beneficial part of your life. Dave Lordan is a leading Irish poet & poetry advocate who has been writing, performing, & teaching poetry for over 30 years. He has an MA in Modern Literature from UCC & an Mphil in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin. He has published five collections of poetry, performed at numerous literary festivals around the world, and created a range of poetry videos, audiobooks, podcasts & radio shows. He worked as researcher and assistant producer for the RTE Poetry Programme, & as Poetry Consultant for Dublin City University, & is the only poet to have won all three Ireland’s most prestigious poetry Prizes for young poets – The Patrick Kavanagh Award, The Strong Award, & The Ireland Chair of Poetry Bursary. to book
