Last Saturday a very successful rally for peace and against racism and bullying was held at the Dail. The rally was supported by numerous civil society organisations, including unions, left political parties, NGO’s and activist groups, representing millions of people living in Ireland. The rally follows a sharp increase in racist hate speech and racists attacks in Ireland in 2019 as a result of the activities of a small but virulent fascist and far-right terrorist presence in Ireland. On the day 150 goons turned up to shout abuse and throw projectiles at the anti-racist rally, but that did nothing to dampen the spirits of the much larger crowds on the anti-racist rally. The above video gives a small flavour of the diversity, good-humour, & determined solidarity of the anti-racist rally.
